Following the Department of Transportation's (DOTr) approval to implement adjusted fares for both Light Rail Transit Lines 1 and 2 (LRT-1 and LRT-2), train commuters would need to shell out a few more coins starting August 2, 2023.

The new fare matrix for the LRT-1 and LRT-2 have been released by operators Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) and Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) in order to give time for us commuters to plan ahead.

The end-to-end fare from Baclaran to Roosevelt will now cost PHP35 for both single-journey ticket and stored-value card holders. At this time, the prices are PHP30.00 for SJC and PHP29.00 for SVC.

Riders of the LRT-2 with single-journey tickets must now pay PHP35.00 for end-to-end travel (from Recto to Antipolo), while those with stored-value cards must pay PHP33.00. The current prices are PHP30.00 and PHP28.00, respectively.
